These ballet dancers are spinning tops made by the Canadian manufacturer
foreverspin. All have identical size (3.55 cm tall, 2.8 cm diameter) and shape, thus the individual mass varies with the density of the used metal. These dancers were made from aluminum (Al, ρ = 2.7 g/cm
3), zirconium (Zr, ρ = 6.52 g/cm
3) and
humanium (Hu, ρ = 7.94 g/cm
3), respectively. Therefore
Humanium has the best stamina for spinning and transmits the strongest impulse on its peers.
Snapshots of their performances are shown in the gallery.
